Update
Sorry for the lack of posts. I will address the future of this blog soon. In the meantime, check out three of my newly posted stories on the right side of the screen. The California gay marriage ruling and the November election; Casey Democrats and Obama; and liberals and race -- it's all there.

A Mass for Babies in the Dumpster
(I cross-posted this over at InsideCatholic.com)
A Detroit-area based doctor and activist found the remains of 18 to 25 aborted unborn infants in a dumpster. According to Catholic News Agency,
In March Dr. Monica Migliorino Miller, who heads the group Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, videotaped the contents of several bags of trash removed from the back of a Lathrup Village abortion clinic named Womancare of Southfield. The graphic video shows bloody surgical materials, hypodermic needles, private medical records, and the remains of aborted human babies.
I think the story, and others about this incident, should have been more specific. When Hemingway wrote about evil, he gave us real imagery -- a corpse lying next to wet, dead leaves. This story only gave us vague generalities. At least, the pro-life and Catholic press wrote about this incident, unlike, with a few exceptions, their counterparts in the MSM.
Yet the terror of reality can only be denied for so long. Dr. Miller filmed the remains in the dumpster, and while she invokes the name of the abortion clinic's owner too often, she gave viewers a better picture. Her short video has tiny images of blood-stained rib cages, torsos, elbows, hands, and fingers.
There is a happy ending, of sorts, to this story. Detroit bishop John Quinn will say a Mass for these tiny souls today.
What the media ignore and underplay, the Church can redeem and sanctify.
